Summer Loving

Summer Loving

It has been quite some time since I have thoughtfully shared within this space, however, I have once again found my love of writing and wish to both share and connect with you here.

How is your summer (or winter, if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere)? Ours has been full of growth, lessons, joy, ease, a combination of slow and simple days coupled with lively and full days, sunshine, rainstorms both literally and figuratively and so many minuscule changes that they are too many to list here.

Summer always brings about intense shifts within me and within my children, one more sensitive than the other, his and my growth more often than not, lining up and crashing like ships in the night. Over the years, we have found ways of coexisting throughout the summer months that feel much more harmonious as both he and I grow into ourselves. Moments, days and lessons abound that I am so eternally grateful for and although there are times when the lessons feel incredibly deep, coarse or simply too much, somehow once we are on the other side of the peak of that lesson, we find ourselves in a new place that we never thought existed.

Beyond anything, these months feel increasingly magical, nourishing and just what our sensitive souls need, to grow into our best selves.

I long to spend more time within this space and once again share more intentionally here, the words that I have been reading and digesting, the nourishing meals I have been consuming and the beauty gracing our days and the wonderful seasons of our lives.
